The V4 football game in Shanghai starting the Polish Presidency of the Visegrad Group

The first working meeting of the Visegrad Group in Shanghai took place at the Consulate General of Poland in Shanghai on July 1st, 2020. During the meeting the plan of the Polish Presidency and projects of activities for the next 3 months were presented.
On 10 July 2020, the very first event promoting the Visegrad Group in China took place - a friendly football match of the V4 team - FC Echo Shanghai against Huawei Shanghai. The game ended with the victory of Echo 9-5 (4-2). Pictures provided by Huawei Shanghai.
The FC Echo Visegrad Shanghai was brought into life in June 2020 and consists of players from Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. The last week game was the first official match of the team.
The team’s name refers to the Polish local newspaper "Shanghai Echo", which was published by the Polish community in Shanghai between 1936 and 1949.
