Information concerning the document authorising the import or export of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or category 1 precursors for personal medical use

The Chief Pharmaceutical Inspectorate announces that, from 12 July 2026, following the entry into force of an amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of Health on the permits and documents required for the import, export, intra-Community acquisition or intra-Community supply of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or category 1 precursors, the template of the document authorising the import or export of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or category 1 precursors for personal medical use will change.
Documents issued before 12 July 2026 will remain valid under the rules laid down in the applicable legislation.
At the same time, in view of the approaching holiday period and the increased number of applications, the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspectorate asks that applications for the document be submitted sufficiently in advance (at least 15 days before travel). This will allow the applications to be processed efficiently and the documents to be issued before the planned journey. Please note that applications submitted immediately before departure may not be processed in time.
When planning when to submit the documents, applicants are advised to allow sufficient time for the relevant administrative procedures and for delivery by the postal operator.
