Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Hellenic Republic

Artur Piotr Lompart (born on July 30, 1973 in Nowy Sącz, Poland)

Graduate of the Institute of International Relations, Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, University of Warsaw (1997). He started his professional career in 1996 as a media and promotion specialist at the Information and Promotion Office of the University of Warsaw. From 1997 he was a deputy head of the Office and at the same time a deputy Spokesperson, and in 2002 he took over the management of the Office and became a Spokesperson of the University of Warsaw.

He started his diplomatic career in 2007 at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi, first as a counsellor for culture and science cooperation, also responsible for development aid, and then, from 2011, as a consul.

In 2014, he returned to the University of Warsaw, where he coordinated the 200th anniversary of the university. In 2015, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, working as the head of the protocol department at the Office for the Preparation of the North Atlantic Alliance Summit, organized in Poland in 2016.

From 2016, he worked in the Consular Department of the MFA. On October 6, 2017, he was appointed the director of the Spokesperson Office, also acting as a spokeperson of the Ministry. In the years 2018-2020, the director of the Bureau of Human Resources of the MFA. On July 20, 2020, Artur Lompart became a head of the Polish diplomatic mission in Athens.

Married, with two children.
