Deputy Minister - Secretary of State
Marcin Ociepa from February 22, 2018 to June 3, 2019, Undersecretary of State, and from June 4, 2019, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology responsible, among others, for European affairs, innovations, industrial policy, international cooperation and trade control with goods and technologies of strategic importance for the security of the state abroad.
He is a political scientist, specializing in European Studies. MBA diploma, as well as the Top Public Executive of the National School of Public Administration and IESE of the University of Navarra. Academic teacher at the University of Opole.
From 2019, Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Poland of the 9th term. In the years 2018-2019 Councilor of the Opole Voivodship Assembly. In the years 2014-2018 Chairman of the Opole City Council. In the years 2010-2014, the Vice-President of the City Council. In 2009 and 2010, the coordinator of the project "Civic Design Strategy for the Development of the City of Opole - Opole 2050".
Member of the European Committee of the Regions in 2015-2018. President of the Collegium Nobilium Opoliense. Participant of the International Visitor Leadership Program of the US Department of State. Underharcerist of the Union of Scouts of the Republic of Poland. Decorated by the President of the Republic of Poland with the Silver Cross of Merit. He received also Medal of the Opole University of Technology, badge "For Merit to the Union of Veterans of the Republic of Poland and Former Political Prisoners", the Man of the Year 2016 title of the Opolskie Voivodeship according to readers of the New Opole Tribune.
On December 20, 2019, he was appointed Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence.
