Volunteering programme
The aim of the Polish Aid Volunteering Programme is to support the direct involvement of Polish citizens in assisting inhabitants of developing countries, as well as disseminating in Polish society information about problems facing these countries.
Implemented since 2008, it is a crucial element of the Polish foreign aid programme. The initiative has contributed to cooperation between national entities and NGOs, as well as natural persons. It also responds to the ever growing involvement of social welfare organisations in providing development assistance to countries with lower growth rates. Moreover, it serves to raise social awareness about global challenges and helps to directly involve citizens in development assistance.
