Undersecretary of State
Sebastian Skuza was born on 8th April, 1973 in Skarżysko-Kamienna. He is an associate professor (doktor habilitowany) of economics. For last 20 years he has been working with public institutions and financial market institutions. His scientific achievements include nearly 160 publications concerning financial institutions and financial law.
He majored in economics (finances and banking) at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics in 1997. He was awarded the academic degree of Doctor in 2002 , and of associate professor (doktor habilitowany) in 2016. For many years he has worked with the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, Kozminski University in Warsaw, and the Warsaw University of Life Sciences - SGGW.
Employed at numerous public institutions. Soon after his graduation, he started his professional career at the Ministry of Finances, where he was, amongst the others, the Vice Director of the Financial Market Development Department. Since 2007 he has been associated with Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego - first, as a member of its Supervisory Board, and later (since 2012) as the BGK Managing Director and the Head of Compliance Division, as well as the Vice President of the BGK Jan Kanty Steczkowski Foundation.
He speaks three languages and is interested in the Polish cinema and history.
