- It was another concrete discussion with Defence Secretary Grant Shapps about the development of military cooperation and security in the region. Great Britain is one of our strategic partners. Solidarity and cooperation are the foundation of effective countering of threats
– the head of Polish Ministry of National Defence wrote after the talks.
- Soldiers stationed in Poland are a manner of message that NATO will defend its allies. (…). Security is not a regional matter, but a global one. We have to act together with the partners that share our values in order to deliver transatlantic security

Great Britain is one of Poland’s key partners in the field of modernizing the Polish Armed Forces. British defence technologies are used in Polish short-range anti-air systems „Little Narew” armed with CAMM missiles, and in construction of the Polish „Swordfish” frigate, among others. We also cooperate on the DIAMOND programme – aimed at strengthening the potential of anti-air and anti-missile defence.
British anti-air Sky Sabre system, deployed in order to strengthen the allied air defence system, is stationed in Poland as part of our military cooperation. The British component is also an important part of bolstering NATO’s eastern flank in the framework of a NATO battallion battle group, stationed in Bemowo Piskie.
