Inter-ministerial Team for the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad

The Inter-ministerial Team for the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad is an advisory body to the Council of Ministers. It was established by the Regulation No. 105 of the Prime Minister dated 14 October 2024, regarding the Inter-ministerial Team for Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad (M.P. of 17 October 2024, item 887). It enables the coordination of the state's activities in support of Polish citizens living abroad. The Team consists of designated representatives of the ministers listed in the aforementioned Regulation. Its tasks include defining the directions and goals of the Polish diaspora policy, supporting foreign policy, proposing legal changes, initiating research, and evaluating and formulating recommendations.


The Chairman of the Team is the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, who appointed Deputy Minister Henryka Mościcka-Dendys as the Deputy Chairperson. During the inaugural meeting on 27 November 2024, current actions for the Polish diaspora and Poles abroad were discussed, and a draft strategy for cooperation with the Polish diaspora and Poles abroad for the years 2025-2030 was reviewed. The adoption of such a document was announced by the head of Polish diplomacy on 30 October 2024, in the Senate of the Republic of Poland.
