Main directions of Polish diaspora policy

The primary objectives of Polish diaspora policy are to ensure that the Polish Diaspora and Polish citizens abroad can exercise their rights in their respective countries of residence, particularly the ability to preserve and promote Polish identity. The current fundamental strategic goals are:

  • supporting Polish education, culture, and traditions,
  • activating the Polish diaspora and Poles abroad in their countries of residence,
  • fostering their connections with the country and their return to Poland.

The goals of the Republic of Poland's government towards the Polish diaspora and Poles abroad are outlined in specific legal acts and other policy documents, most notably the Government Strategy for Cooperation with the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad for 2025-2030.
