Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ grant competitions for Polish diaspora policy

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is implementing a modern approach to cooperation with the Polish diaspora and supporting our compatriots abroad. New international opportunities and challenges, natural changes within the diaspora, and the growing significance of the presence of Poles in their second homelands necessitate a reorientation of the principles, goals, and tools of diaspora policy. Key priorities include:

•    Expanding the circle of participants and entities involved in the implementation of social activities and tasks, especially by reaching beyond traditionally understood Polish diaspora environments,
•    Introducing innovative forms of financing,
•    Ensuring transparency in the application process for project and support funds,
•    Adopting a new approach to the principles of teaching the Polish language.

To further support the activities of Polish communities abroad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organises a grant competition to support infrastructure investments. Additionally, starting in 2025, the Ministry will initiate support for Polish diaspora communities in two areas:

(1)    In collaboration with business partners, it will enable young representatives of the Polish diaspora to participate in scholarship/internship programs combined with Polish language learning, and
(2) It will organize a training and educational program aimed at fostering civic engagement.

Grant competitions are announced on the Ministry's website and in the Public Information Bulletin.
