Europe Day 2024 - 20th anniversary of Poland's accession to the European Union

On May 11 in Limassol, our embassy, together with other diplomatic missions of EU countries in Cyprus, took part in the Europe Day festival.
This year's celebrations were particularly solemn, both for Poland and Cyprus, due to the common 20th anniversary of our countries' accession to the European Union. The event, which included a dedicated photography exhibition and an artistic program, was attended by the President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Constaninos Kombos and the EU Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Stella Kyriakides.
Guests visiting our stand received small gifts, got information about Poland and could try traditional Polish sweets. At the same time, we distributed materials promoting our country and encouraging people to study in Poland. On the large screens placed on the promenade, visitors could watch the film "Poland from a drone", presenting the most beautiful places in Poland.
This year, it was of particular importance to highlight the 20th anniversary of Poland's membership in the European Union. We have prepared many attractions related to the anniversary and gifts with the commemorative logo.
The celebrations were organized by the Limassol City Hall and the Representation of the European Commission and the European Parliament in Cyprus.
