On 21–26 February, Minister Radosław Sikorski will visit New York and Washington, D.C.

In New York, the head of Polish diplomacy will take part in a session of the United Nations General Assembly devoted to the occupied territories of Ukraine and in a UN Security Council ministerial debate on the situation in Ukraine. He will also hold a series of bilateral talks, including with UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

In Washington, Minister Sikorski will meet with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to discuss the war in Ukraine, Polish–American security cooperation, the fight against Russian disinformation, and preparations for this year’s NATO summit in Washington. 

Radosław Sikorski will also take part in Three Steps to Victory, a speech and debate event at the Atlantic Council think-tank, and he will hold talks with General James Mattis, a former US secretary of defence, and with representatives of the US Congress. 

While in Washington, the head of the Polish MFA will present Colonel Romuald Lipiński, a Monte Cassino veteran and long-time activist of the Polish diaspora, with a Bene Merito distinction.
