Minister Marlena Maląg sent a letter with wishes to the employees of Public Employment Services

Dear Employees of Public Employment Services!

Work and its quality have always been, and still are, especially in these difficult times of pandemics, the highest value for each individual. It has both a social content, e.g. it builds community, and a psychological content, e.g. a sense of security, satisfaction, fulfilment and joy of life. It is the basis for ensuring material prosperity for the individual, and more broadly for society as a whole.

I would like to thank you for the mission you are carrying out, the main task of which is to help people find employment or improve their professional qualifications and competences. Such action contributes to building in people the conviction that they are fully-fledged citizens who can fulfil themselves not only in their family life, but also in their professional life.

Today, at a time of particular challenges posed to work processes by digital technology and ecological requirements, your mission is particularly important. New labour standards make work increasingly complex. This concerns both the clients of the public employment services and the staff of the labour offices, who are faced with the requirement to constantly improve their qualifications in line with the changing requirements and technologies on the labour market.

Being fully aware of the importance of your mission and of the difficult challenges faced by public employment services, I would like, on the Public Employment Service Employees Day, to wish you success in your professional work and, at the same time, that your success in the professional sphere is followed by satisfaction and happiness in your personal and family life.

With best regards

Marlena Maląg

Minister for Family Affairs and Social Policy
