25.04.2024

Anzac

On April 25, at the Church of Saint Mary of the Angels in Wellington, Archbishop Paul Martin celebrated Holy Mass on the occasion of the ANZAC Day and prayed for the murdered Poles in Katyn.

Among the participants were the representatives of the Polish community, including the President of Polish Association in New Zealand, Mrs. Elżbieta Rombel. The ceremony was opened and closed by the Polish Ex-serviceman’s Association of New Zealand flagship presentation. The embassy was represented by the deputy ambassador, Consul of the Republic of Poland, Maksymilian Zych. The group took a moment to pray and lied a wreath at the plaque commemorating the Katyn massacre.
