Parking
  • You can use the parking area. One parking space is designated for persons with disabilities. Please remember to bring your parking card and place it behind the windscreen.
  • The parking spaces are painted blue and properly marked.
  • The distance from the parking area to the building entrance is approximately 30 metres.
  • The parking is free of charge.
  • The car park is located next to the main entrance from Reja Street, in the Ministry’s courtyard. Access is through a gate with a barrier. The barrier is operated by security staff. To open it, please contact security via the intercom located at the barrier.
  • Parking is available after prior notification by phone at (+48) 223‑692‑900 or by e‑mail: info@klimat.gov.pl.
  • There is also a municipal car park in front of the building on Reja Street, with two designated parking spaces for persons with disabilities.
Assistance dog

You may enter the building with an assistance dog or guide dog. Please remember to bring the dog’s certificate and proof of vaccination.

Entrance to the building
  • The main entrance is from Reja Street, in the central part of the courtyard.
  • A staircase leads to the entrance.
  • In front of the stairs there is a warning strip made of convex elements.
  • The steps are marked in contrasting colours.
  • A handrail is provided.
  • A fixed ramp with a 6% gradient leads to the entrance.
  • The manoeuvring area in front of the entrance is 150 cm.
  • The door must be opened manually.
  • The doors open outwards.
  • Opening the door does not require much force.
  • The door has an ergonomic handle and can easily be kept open.
  • The door is transparent and not marked with contrasting signage.
Space behind the entrance
  • A lobby is located directly behind the entrance.
  • Entrance gates are located opposite the main entrance, approximately 10 metres away.
  • Lifts are located to the right of the entrance, behind the gates.
  • To the left is a reception desk and a designated waiting area with a table and chairs.

To reach the registry office (General Office), proceed to the corridor to the right behind the main lobby. The passage is not restricted by gates. The registry office is located at the end of the corridor on the left-hand side. You can submit documents there.

An induction loop is installed in the registry office. The counter is partially lowered.

  • The area is generally quiet.
  • The room is well lit.
  • The service point (reception desk) is positioned to the left of the entrance.
  • The service point is equipped with an induction loop.
  • The counter is lowered and accessible to wheelchair users.

Horizontal passageways

  • The premises are located on six floors.
  • Differences in level can be overcome using ramps with a maximum gradient of 2%.
Vertical passageways

You can use the lift.

Stairs

Main staircase:

  • The staircase consists of 15 steps.
  • Each step is 16 cm high.
  • A handrail runs along the entire staircase.
  • The steps are marked in contrasting colours.
Lift
  • The lift doors open automatically.
  • Door width: 90 cm.
  • The lift is located in the main lobby, to the right of the building entrance.
  • Control buttons have Braille descriptions and large, high‑contrast markings.

Premises

All rooms are accessible to wheelchair users.

Bathroom

  • An accessible toilet is available on every floor.
  • The ground-floor toilet is located to the left of the main lobby. Toilets on floors 1–6 are located in the same position.
  • The door opens outwards and stays open easily.
  • There are no obstacles to wheelchair access.
  • Grab rails are installed on both sides of the toilet: the right-hand rail (facing the toilet) is foldable, the left-hand rail is fixed.
  • The toilet is equipped with an accessible washbasin, tap, and adjustable mirror.
  • A call-for-aid cord is installed.
  • Manoeuvring space: 220 cm.
  • Space in front of the toilet: 139 cm.
  • Space on the left: 19 cm.
  • Space on the right: 82 cm.
  • Grab rails are installed on both sides.
