Clinical Research Support Centre

The Clinical Research Support Centre (Centrum Wsparcia Badań Klinicznych, CWBK) at the National Medical Institute of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration (PIM MSWiA) operates under a shared services model as a support unit for all researchers at the PIM MSWiA.

It provides assistance in planning, legal services, coordination, management, and billing of clinical trials, following the implementation of the Model Standards (Standardy Modelowego CWBK).

CWBK conducts both non-commercial and commercial clinical research across various medical areas, maintaining the highest standards of quality. This is made possible by our highly qualified staff of 174 individuals holding professorial, postdoctoral, and doctoral degrees, as well as by the collaboration with twenty-eight clinical departments within the PIM MSWiA.

Non-commercial research conducted by the PIM MSWiA contributes significantly to advancing knowledge and therapeutic possibilities in the medical field.

CWBK conducts Phase II, III, and IV clinical trials in the following specialization:

  • GASTROENTEROLOGY (including rare intestinal and pancreatic diseases)
  • DIABETOLOGY
  • DERMATOLOGY
  • NEFROLOGY
  • CARDIOLOGY
  • CARDIAC SURGERY
  • ONCOLOGY

Clinical trials present a significant opportunity for numerous patients to access new, innovative therapies that can enhance both prognosis and quality of life.
