Talk and photo exhibitions of the Polish cave diver Krzysztof Starnawski in Kuala Lumpur

On 5th November 2019 at the GMBB Gallery in Kuala Lumpur a talk by Mr. Krzysztof Starnawski was held, entitled "Discovering The World’s Deepest Caves." Before the talk, an exhibition of 30 photographs of the author was opened, showing projects related to underwater cave exploration executed with National Geographic grants.

Krzysztof Starnawski had visited Kuala Lumpur at the invitation of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland as part of the "Inspiring Poland" series of meetings initiated by the institution, which aims to promote Poland by presenting outstanding achievements of Poles in the world.

Krzysztof Starnawski is a world class explorer, world record holder in deep diving and discoverer of the deepest underwater cave in the world. In 2017, he was awarded the National Geographic Man of the Year title. In Poland, he twice received the Colossus Awards for achievements in cave exploration.

Krzysztof Starnawski's talk and photo exhibition met with great interest and positive reception. The event, which was inaugurated by the Ambassador of Poland – H.E. Krzysztof Dębnicki, was attended by over 150 people, including representatives of the Malaysian world of science, culture, media, diplomatic corps and Poles living in Malaysia.
