Frequently asked questions
Can I apply for a work-related national type D visa at the consular section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha if I am not a Qatari citizen?
Because of Polish and Qatari regulations accepting a work-related national visa application from a non-Qatari citizen is highly unlikely. The Polish Law on foreigners clearly stipulates that such applications can only be accepted by the consul in the country of permanent place of residence of a foreigner. At the same time the State of Qatar does not issue, in general, permament residence permits to any foreigners. If foreigners possessing a valid Qatari residence permit remain abroad for more than 6 months the permits are automatically cancelled and the return to Qatar is made not possible.
