The Department conducts R&D works on:
- Technologies for the production of protective materials as well as insulating and filtering protective clothing;
- Smoke-generating materials as well as means and devices for their use;
- Resistance of materials and equipment to thermal impulse;
- Shielding materials against environmental stress;
- Respiratory protection equipment - individual and collective;
- Manufacturing technology and methods for testing sorption and filtration materials;
- Methods for laboratory and operational tests as well as conditions of inspection and acceptance of respiratory protection equipment.
