Department II - Department of Chemical Reconaissance and Decontamination
The Department conducts R&D works on:
- Methods, means and devices for decontamination of armament and military equipment;
- Personal Protective Equipment against contamination;
- Technologies for destruction of hazardous chemicals;
- Detection and determination of highly toxic chemicals (chemical warfare agents - CWA and toxic industrial chemicals - TIC);
- Development, testing and evaluation of means and equipment for chemical reconnaissance;
- Instrumental analysis of chemicals;
- Synthesis of chemicals covered by the Chemical Weapons Convention*;
- Verification of compliance with the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention*
