Chopin concerto performed in Doha by Wojciech Waleczek

On November 15 the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha, in cooperation with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO), invited Wojciech Waleczek, an internationally renowned Polish pianist, to perform Fryderyk Chopin’s piano concerto no.1.

The initiative was a part of National Independence Day celebrations and also as a token of recognition of thirty years of exemplary Polish-Qatari diplomatic relations. Representatives of the diplomatic corps, Qatari media and business community as well as members of the Polish diaspora were invited. A locally-based Polish company Aqvarius WLL was the event's partner. The orchestra was conducted by Andreas S. Weiser, a prominent conductor of the Czech Chamber Orchestra in Prague.
