Izabela Leszczyna

She was born on September 3, 1962 in Częstochowa. She completed studies in Polish philology at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and numerous postgraduate studies, including internal audit and management control in public finance sector entities at the Warsaw School of Economics.

In the years 1990-1996 she was a Polish language teacher and the supervisor of the Student Government.

In the years 1996 - 2007, she was a consultant for organization and management, as well as didactic measurement and evaluation at the Regional Teacher Training Center "WOM" in Częstochowa.

Since 2007, she has been a member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.

In the years 2013-2015, she served as deputy minister at the Ministry of Finance and was the Government Plenipotentiary for Information and Financial Education in the field of Budget, Public Finance and Financial Institutions, and Public Finance Protection.

Her duties included, among others, identifying risks occurring in the public finance system, promoting issues related to the protection of public finances and economic and social issues within the scope of government administration activities.

At the Ministry of Finance, she supervised the Legal Department, the Information Security and Protection Department, the Financial Market Development Department and the Financial Education Office.

In the Sejm of the 9th term, she was elected deputy chairman of the Public Finance Committee.
