Krzysztof Hetman

A graduate of the Faculty of Political Science at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin. In 2002, he completed postgraduate studies at the University of Entrepreneurship and Administration
in Lublin.

He started his professional career in 1999 at the Open Pension Fund. From July 2002 to August 2005 he worked as a deputy director, and then until May 2007 as director of the Department of Regional Development of the Marshal's Office in Lublin. He was responsible
among others for spatial planning of the Lublin Voivodeship, implementation and coordination of activities related to the implementation of the Lublin Voivodeship Strategy for 2005-2020, the Provincial Contract and the Integrated Regional Development Operational Program (ZPORR).

From December 2007 to December 2010, he served as Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Regional Development. He was responsible for matters related to the implementation of the Development of Eastern Poland Program, European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) programs and the European Neighborhood Instrument
and Partnership in the years 2007-2013 and for coordinating the implementation of regional programs.

Since June 2010, he has been the president of the Provincial Board of PSL in Lublin.

In the years 2010-2014 he served as the Marshal of the Lublin Voivodeship. In 2014, he was elected as a Member of the European Parliament and held this mandate until October 2023.

In the European Parliament, he served as vice-chairman of the Internal Market Committee
and Consumer Protection, as well as in the Regional Development Committee.

Since November 13, 2023, he has been a member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.
