Bratislava Castle illuminated to mark the Visegrad Group’s 30th anniversary

On 15 February 2021, the National Council of the Slovak Republic joined in celebrations marking the V4’s anniversary by putting nightly illuminations on Bratislava Castle, the capital’s symbol towering over the Danube.
In his statement, Council Speaker Boris Kollár recalled that signing the Visegrad Declaration laid down the foundations for multifaceted regional cooperation based on unique neighbourly relations between our four countries. The National Council of the Slovak Republic regularly joins in marking anniversaries which are important for Poland and the region, e.g. the 40 years of Solidarity.
Bratislava Castle lit with the Visegrad colours was highly visible from both sides of the river, sparking the interest of passers-by.
