On March 18 the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Cairo organized a ceremonial Iftar on the occasion of Poland's Presidency in the European Union.

The Iftar was held in the historic interiors of Empress Eugénie's palace, currently occupied by the Marriott Hotel, in the prestigious Green Hall. The dinner was attended by 80 guests, including representatives of the diplomatic corps, administration, business, and culture.

In his opening speech, Ambassador Michał Murkociński highlighted the priorities of Poland's presidency and addressed current issues in Polish-Egyptian and EU-Egyptian relations.
