On December 8, Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk visited Tallinn, where he met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, Mr Margus Tsahkna. The main topic of the consultations were reservations about the European Parliament's proposals regarding radical changes to the EU treaties and shifting the competences of the Member States to the EU level. Ministers also discussed an effective way to protect the borders, identified by Margus Tsahkna as the main challenge for Estonia's security. It was pointed out that cooperation within the North Atlantic Alliance is one of the ways to counter Russian aggression. Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk stressed that Tallinn is another capital that joins the group of countries that look at the threats resulting from sudden treaty changes in a similar way and are consistent with Poland's position.
