Plaque commemorating the submarine ORP "Orzeł"

The submarine ORP "Orzeł" was interned in Tallinn under German pressure on September 15, 1939 and partially disarmed, but in a daring action managed to escape on the night of September 17/18, commanded by Capt. Mar. Jan Grudziński, and finally, without maps reached Great Britain.
