Barbara Spanó

Barbara Spanó, Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science
Barbara has over 15 years of experience working with international relations and research and innovation management across government institutions, intergovernmental partnerships, universities, and international university alliances. 

She currently serves as National Contact Point (NCP) and Programme Committee delegate for Horizon Europe, specifically for the European Innovation Council and the European Innovation Ecosystems, as well as NCP for the Legal and Financial aspects of the programme. In addition, she is the national coordinator for the NCP network in Denmark.

In her role, Barbara supports Danish stakeholders in accessing European research and innovation funding, and contributes to shaping policies and priorities that foster groundbreaking innovation, deep tech entrepreneurship, and cross-border collaboration.

Barbara holds an MSc in Political Science from the Catholic University in Milan, Italy.
