Innovation Officer, Innovation Ecosystem Unit, EIT
Luke is the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, Innovation Officer responsible for the implementation of its Regional Innovation Scheme, a key EIT instrument which aims at advancing the innovation performance of those countries in Europe, classified as moderate or modest innovators in the European Innovation Scoreboard.
Luke's professional background also includes over ten years working on EU affairs, with a primary focus on Research, Innovation and Space, within the Office of the Prime Minister of Malta (2007-2011) and the Permanent Representation of Malta to the EU (2011-2017).
Luke regularly lectures in Science Diplomacy at Corvinus University of Budapest. He holds academic degrees in European Studies and International Relations.
