Piotr Garsteck

Professor Piotr Garstecki, a scientist and an entrepreneur, a member of the Foundation for Polish Science’s Council. Co-author of over 150 scientific publications. Winner of the Special Award for International Expansion in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 competition. In 2010, he founded Scope Fluidics, a biotechnology company whose goal is to introduce modern diagnostic systems to the market. The company grew into the first medtech Venture Studio in the CEE region. In 2022, the company carried out the largest transaction in the history of the Polish life science industry, selling the PCR|ONE technology to Bio-Rad Laboratories. Currently, it continues to work on the Bacteromic system, which addresses the problem of bacterial drug resistance.
