Andrzej Żylis - Surveyor General of Poland

On September 23, 2025 Andrzej Żylis was appointed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk to the position of the Surveyor General of Poland.
Until now, Andrzej Żylis had served as the Pomeranian Voivodeship Inspector of Geodetic and Cartographic Supervision (since February 12, 2018). He had been working at the Pomeranian Voivodeship Office since 2015.
He graduated from the Faculty of Geodesy and Spatial Management, majoring in Geodesy and Cartography at the Agricultural and Technical Academy in Olsztyn (currently the University of Warmia and Mazury), where he also completed the Interfaculty Pedagogical Studies. He also completed postgraduate studies in real estate appraisal at the Higher School of Real Estate Management in Warsaw.
He began his professional career at the “GEOMETR” Geodetic and Cartographic Services Office in Tczew and continued at the Voivodeship Office of Geodesy and Agricultural Areas in Elbląg, Kwidzyn Regional Branch, and later at the “GEOMETRA” Geodetic and Cartographic Services Company in Elbląg.
Since 1999, he has held professional licenses in areas no. 1 and 2 for performing independent functions in geodesy and cartography. Since 2004, he has also been a court expert in the field of geodesy and real estate management at the Regional Court in Gdańsk.
