EuroCOW 2025
18.06.2025
On 16-18, June this year, the EuroCOW 2025 (European Workshop on Calibration and Orientation in Remote Sensing) workshop took place at the Warsaw University of Technology. The event was organized by: Warsaw University of Technology, EuroSDR, Polish Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (PTFiT), International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) and Association of Polish Surveyors (SGP).
During the EuroCOW conference, discussed among other things:
- algorithms and procedures for orientation and calibration,
- development of INS, GNSS and time measurement technologies,
- advances in the use of AI methods,
- multi-sensor navigation for autonomous vehicles,
- national and international test works and test fields,
- reliability of GNSS technology for sensor orientation.
The meeting was attended by world of experts from the public and private sectors.
The Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography was represented by the Director of the Department of Geodesy and Cartography, Jarosław Somla, and the Head of the Department of Photogrammetry, Małgorzata Mendela-Anzlik.
During the workshop, representatives of GUGiK presented the types of photogrammetric data available in the Central Geodetic and Cartographic Resource, the multi-year plan for their acquisition, as well as the issues of acquiring photogrammetric data this year in connection with the occurrence of intentional and variable interference with GPS/GNSS signals.
