70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and Indonesia
23.09.2025
On September 19, 2025, we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and Indonesia.
This jubilee marks an important moment in the history of our relationship, which has been developing for seven decades in a spirit of mutual respect, friendship and openness to cooperation.
From the beginning, Polish-Indonesian relations have been based on common values and respect for sovereignty and cultural diversity. Over the course of seventy years, it has been possible to build the foundation of a stable and dynamically developing partnership, encompassing political dialogue, economy, science, culture, as well as people-to-people exchange. Today's ties between Poland and Indonesia not only reflect the rich history of cooperation, but also point to the prospects for further strengthening the partnership in the future.
As part of the celebrations, a solemn exchange of congratulations and wishes was held between the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Radosław Sikorski, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Sugiono. Both ministers stressed the importance of building a future based on dialogue, cooperation and mutual support, and expressed their belief that Polish-Indonesian relations will continue to be deepened for mutual benefit.
