From July 28 to August 1, 2025, Indonesia hosted a mission of Polish entrepreneurs from the railway sector, who had the opportunity to showcase their offerings during the RailwayTech Indonesia 2025 exhibition and participate in meetings with the authorities of West Java Province and the cities of Bandung and Surabaya.

The entrepreneurs also had the chance to take part in business meetings with key Indonesian railway companies (PT KAI in Bandung and PT INKA in Surabaya). The mission included representatives from PESA, AscoRail, MedCom, Ster, and Śrubena.

Ambassador Barbara Szymanowska attended the opening ceremony of RailwayTech Indonesia 2025 and accompanied the delegation during meetings in Bandung, including with Mr. Erwan Setiawan, Vice Governor of West Java Province.

As part of the exhibition – in cooperation with the PAIH Foreign Trade Office in Jakarta – a symposium titled “Indonesian Railways Growing Together with European Rail Technologies” was organized, along with B2B meetings and a networking session for Polish and Indonesian companies. These events significantly promoted the Polish railway sector and new technologies (including a hydrogen-powered locomotive manufactured by PESA), and served as an element of support for exports and investments as well as strengthening the presence of Polish companies in Indonesia. Polish companies also had the opportunity to present and hold meetings at the Polish national booth, organized by the PAIH Brand Hub.

RailwayTech Indonesia is an international B2B and B2G exhibition dedicated to railway technologies – infrastructure, rolling stock, security systems, signaling, passenger services, etc. The event is organized by GEM Indonesia (PT Global Expo Management) together with MASKA (the Indonesian railway industry association) with support from the Ministry of Transport and Industry of Indonesia. According to the organizers, the exhibition gathers approximately 250 exhibitors and around 15,000 visitors.
