Poland in Indonesia

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Jakarta informs that, according to the information provided by the Border Guard, only persons listed below are entitled to enter to Poland:

Who can enter Poland? 

Poland can be entered only by:

1. citizens of the Republic of Poland,
2. foreigners who are spouses or children of citizens of the Republic of Poland or remain under their constant care,
3. holders of a Pole's Card,
4. members of diplomatic missions, consular offices and representatives of international organizations and their family members, as well as other persons crossing the border of the Republic of Poland on the basis of a diplomatic passport,
5. foreigners with the right of permanent or temporary residence in the territory of the Republic of Poland,
6. foreigners holding the right to work in the territory of the Republic of Poland, i.e. foreigners entitled to work on the same terms as Polish citizens, holding a work permit, a certificate of entry in the records on seasonal work, a declaration on entrusting work to a foreigner in the territory the Republic of Poland, who:

•  perform work in the territory of the Republic of Poland or
• present documents proving that commencing work will start immediately after crossing the border,

7. foreigners who drive a means of transport for the transport of passengers or goods, and their transit takes place as part of professional activities consisting in transporting goods or transporting passengers,
8. drivers performing road transport as part of international road transport or international combined transport, travelling in transit through the territory of the Republic of Poland with other means of transport than the vehicle used for road transport:

• in order to take a rest in the territory of the country of stay,
• after taking the rest abroad, as referred to above, and after a break in the performance of work in the circumstances specified in the Act on drivers' working time,

9. students studying in Poland and their guardians who cross the border with students to enable this learning,
10. students, participants of postgraduate studies and specialized training and other forms of education, as well as doctoral students studying in Poland,
11. scientists conducting research or development work in Poland,
12. citizens of European Union Member States, European Free Trade Association (EFTA) Member States – parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation and their spouses and children,
13. foreigners with a permanent residence permit or a long-term resident's European Union residence permit, on the territory of other Member States of the European Union, a member state of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) – parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation or the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as well as their spouses and children, in order to travel through the territory of the Republic of Poland, to the place of residence or stay,
14. foreigners travelling on an aircraft within the meaning of art. 2(1) of the Act of 3 July 2002 – Aviation Law operating on an international flight, who are citizens of: Georgia, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, the Kingdom of Thailand, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of Tunisia, the Australian Union, the State of Israel, the United States of America or have the right to reside in the territory of these countries,
15. persons crossing the Polish border on the basis of a national visa for the purpose of repatriation or a visa for the purpose of coming to Poland as a member of the immediate family of the repatriate,
16. foreigners whose arrival takes place in connection with the participation, as a competitor, member of the training staff, doctor, physiotherapist or referee, in international sports competitions organized on the territory of the Republic of Poland by an international sports federation operating in Olympic or Paralympic sports or another recognized by the International The Olympic Committee or organized by an international sports organization with a continental range belonging to such a federation or a Polish sports association, as well as accredited journalists, after documenting to the Border Guard officer the fact of the competition, the date and nature of participation in a relevant letter issued by the organizer of the competition or certified by the Polish sports association competent in given sport,
17. foreigners crossing the border of the Republic of Poland on the basis of a visa issued for the purpose of arrival for humanitarian reasons, due to the interest of the state or international obligations,
18. citizens of the Republic of Belarus,
19. fishermen within the meaning of Art. 2(9) of the Act of 11 September 2019 on work on board fishing vessels (Journal of Laws, item 2197) or sailors within the meaning of Art. 2(3) of the Maritime Labour Act of 5 August 2015 (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 1353), hereinafter referred to as the "Maritime Labour Act", including sailors employed under the terms of Art. 46 or Art. 108 of the Maritime Labour Act, as well as:

• sailors or fishermen entering the port, also by means of transport other than the ship, in order to take up employment on the ship, or returning to their place of residence, also by means of transport other than the ship, after termination of employment on the ship – also in transit through the territory of the Republic of Poland,
• persons performing work or providing services on ships or offshore oil platforms, based on a relationship other than a seafarer employment contract,

20. foreigners who obtained a visa in order to participate in the ‘Poland. Business Harbour’ programme,
21. foreign entrepreneurs and representatives of foreign business entities crossing the Polish border for business purposes, who have been notified by a diplomatic mission of a given country accredited in the Republic of Poland and obtained the consent of the minister responsible for foreign affairs for such a visit,
22.  citizens of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and their spouses and children,
23.  foreigners travelling by aircraft who, after arrival in Poland, stay in our country for no longer than 24 hours and have a flight ticket confirming departure from Poland within 24 hours, counting from the moment of arrival in Poland,
24. persons whose arrival takes place in connection with participation in an international music competition or festival organized on the territory of the Republic of Poland by a state or local cultural government institution, as a participant, performer artist, juror, accredited journalist or guardian of a participant or performer artist, after documenting the Border Guard officer the fact of the competition or festival taking place, the date and nature of participation in the competition or festival, in a relevant letter issued by the event organizer,
25. participants of the projects of Erasmus + Programme and European Solidarity Corps,
26. participants of the projects:

    a) implemented within Polish-Ukrainian Council of Youth Exchange, together with their supervisors,

    b) within the international cooperation between children and youth implemented and financed on the basis of Article 167 of the Act of 14th December 2016 on Educational Law (Journal of Laws from 2021 position 1082), together with their supervisors,

    c) in the field of cooperation between schools operating in the education systems of other countries or social organisations registered abroad with the schools in the Republic of Poland on the basis of Article 47 item 3 point 2e Act of 14th December 2016 on Educational Law, after prior submission to the Border Guard by the Ministry of Education and Science information about planned entry with the data of the participants and in case of projects referred to in a) and b) also their supervisors.    

In particularly justified cases, not included above, the commandant of the Border Guard post, after obtaining the consent of the Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Border Guard, may allow foreigners to enter the territory of the Republic of Poland.
