Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Iraq

Ambassador Marcin Kubiak graduated from the Medical Academy in Warsaw in 1994 and then he studied at the National School of Public Administration in the years 1995-1997. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland in 1997 and worked through almost all diplomatic career levels since then. In 1998-2003 he worked at the Embassy of Poland in Nairobi (Kenya) as the second and first secretary. In the years 2003-2005 he was the first secretary and the counsellor in the Department of Africa and the Middle East of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the following years he was the deputy director and director of this institution. In the years 2007-2008 he was Ambassador of Poland to Zimbabwe, accredited in Zambia and Malawi. Then he was moved to Pretoria where he served as Ambassador of Poland to the Republic of South Africa in 2008-2012, accredited in Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Lesotho, Swaziland, Malawi and Zambia. In the years 2013-2014 he worked as Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Regional Development and later in the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development. From 2015 to 2017 he served as Ambassador of Poland to Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam and the Philippines. He assumed his post of the Ambassador of Poland to the Republic of Iraq on August 1, 2020.
