Poland in Iraq

The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) has announced a call for proposals under the Polish Returns NAWA Programme.

The group Trupa Trupa is currently one of the largest Polish artistic export products. The Adam Mickiewicz Institute recognized Trupa Trupa as the greatest success in its musical activity (the Don't Panic! We're from Poland program).

On June 08, 2021. On behalf of H.E. Mr. Marcin Kubiak, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Baghdad, Col. Marcin Chruslinski, Polish Defense Attache accompanied by Col. Michal Kuraczyk, Commander of Polish Contingent in Iraq participated at Baghdad International Airport in handover operation of the Polish humanitarian aid for the Government of Iraq on account of COVID-19 pandemic.

This year, the existing scholarship programmes that are a joint initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Agency for Academic Exchange NAWA in the form of Polish development aid, i.e. the Banach Scholarship Programme and the Lukasiewicz Scholarship Programme, are merged into one scholarship programme for young people from different, chosen countries (including Iraq) who wish to take up studies in Poland.

The applications for the Stanisław Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music can be submitted until 31 May. The second edition of the Stanisław Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music will be held at the Artur Malawski Podkarpacka Philharmonic in Rzeszów between 11 and 18 September 2021. The participants will contest in two categories: for pianists and for chamber ensembles, with the total prize money exceeding 80,000 euros. The event is organised by the Institute of Music and Dance, and its main financial prizes are funded by the Polish Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport.

In 2020 Poland has introduced sipmlified procedures for non-EU citizens to practice chosen medical professions.
