21.01.2021On 21st of January 2021 H.E. Mr. Marcin Kubiak, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Baghdad, and the Polish Defence Attaché, Col.Marcin Chruśliński, participated at the Baghdad International Airport (BIAP) in handover operation of the Polish humanitarian aid for Iraq on account of COVID-19 pandemic.

14.12.2020In partnership with Terre des Hommes Italy, PMM operates a mobile clinic and 2 dental care units, reaching out to more than 24,000 Syrian refugees and displaced Iraqi citizens. Internal, pediatric, pharmaceutic care is provided for Baharka & Harsham camps’ residents. Most of the patients suffer from hearing & visual impairment, consequences of chronic diseases or disability of or reduced mobility. Dental units operate in Baharka & Qushtapa camps. Before the PMM / TdH arrival the camp residents were deprived of dental care (the project co-financed by the MFA of Poland).

10.12.2020On 10 December 1942, the Polish Government-in-Exile called on the states-signatories to the United Nations Declaration to prevent the crimes committed against the Jewish population in German-occupied Poland. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents the photo of the original note, stored in the UK National Archives, as well as the contents of the brochure “The Mass Extermination of Jews in German Occupied Poland.”

16.11.2020“As the Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Army, I hereby notify belligerent and neutral governments and nations of the existence of an Independent Polish State, within all the territories of the united Poland” – with these words Józef Piłsudski addressed the heads of world powers and notified them about the formation of the Second Polish Republic.

11.11.2020On 11 November 1918, 102 years ago, Poland regained its independence. On this day, after his release from the Magdeburg Fortress, Józef Piłsudski took over military command from the Regency Council and, three days later, assumed supreme authority over civilian matters, to finally “as Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Army [...] notify belligerent and neutral governments and nations” of the reappearance of “the reborn and independent Republic of Poland” on the map. After 123 years of captivity, Poland became a sovereign and internationally recognised state.

04.11.2020Consul Dominik Musiał & Vice-Consul Stanisław Guliński took part in a farewell ceremony for STEP-IN Civic Association in the Dawoodia IDPs' Camp in Dohuk Governorate. STEP-IN is a Slovak asscoiation that received - since 2015 - financial support from Polish Aid, while cooperating with Polish organizations, for example recently with the Club of Catholic Intelligentsia (KIK)/ Warsaw. The ceremony was attended by the camp manager Clara Eliea Gorial and the KIK representative Marta Titaniec.
