The Forum, which took place on September 28-30, was officially opened by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, H.E. Muhyddin Yassin. The main subject of the Forum organised by the URBANICE Malaysia Organisation was "Sustainable Urban Nation 2030". The forum had a hybrid character, some participants took part in person and some online. The event was attended by 500 people at the venue itself and the Forum was followed by a total of 125,000 people online.

One of the prominent speakers of the Forum was Ambassador Krzysztof Dębnicki, who gave a special presentation on KATOWICE - the Host City of World Urban Forum 11th.

Ambassador Dębnicki presented Polish experiences in the field of urban development and transformation. He pointed, among others, some historical similarities between Kuala Lumpur and Katowice and thanked for the information shared by the Malaysian authorities with Poland regarding the organisation of the World Urban Forum that took place in 2018 in Kuala Lumpur. The Ambassador emphasised on the development of Katowice and the transformation of degraded areas as a good example for other post-industrial cities. He also presented the most important innovative solutions for cities that Poland could share with Malaysia.
