Joint interview of the Visegrad Group Ambassadors for Bernama Radio

On February 15, 2021 - on the day itself of 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Visegrad Group, a special joint interview of the Visegrad Group Ambassadors was held for Bernama Radio initiated by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kuala Lumpur.

The interview was also broadcast live on the radio's social media. The interview was attended by the Ambassadors of the Czech Republic (Milan Hupcej), Poland (Krzysztof Dębnicki) and Hungary (Petra Ponevacs-Pana) residing in Kuala Lumpur and the Ambassador of Slovakia (Jaroslav Chlebo) residing in Jakarta.

 

The objective of the interview was to familiarize the audience with the activities and specificity of the Visegrad Group, as well as the economic, tourist and cultural potential of the V4 countries. The interview also became an opportunity to promote the growing economic importance of Central European countries as well as better and improved transport and infrastructure connections between the members of the Group. Special attention was drawn to the evolution of the goals of the V4's activities over the years, and it was emphasized that after joining NATO and the EU, the V4 did not lose its importance, but became a suitable platform for developing common positions within the EU.
