Festive ICT industry gathering: women take the floor as the ector reviews the year

19.12.2025

Several hundred representatives of the ICT sector-from public administration, through operators and manufacturers, to expert communities and NGOs-filled the Central House of Technology yesterday during the annual Christmas meeting of industry chambers: PIIT, PIKE, KIKE, and KIGEiT.

Four speakers standing on a stage during an ICT industry Christmas event, with one woman speaking at a microphone and holding notes, while three other participants stand beside her. A festive backdrop with the text “Wesołych Świąt!” and ICT industry logos is visible behind them.

The National Institute of Telecommunications (IŁ-PIB), which is a member of two chambers—PIIT and KIGEiT—was one of the active participants in the event.

This year, women spoke on behalf of the chambers. In her address, Anna Streżyńska, Director of IŁ-PIB and a member of the Management Board of KIGEiT, highlighted more than 30 years of market investments and emphasized that strong infrastructure is the foundation of sovereignty. She noted that telecommunications network operators and providers of digital products and services are no longer merely market participants—they have become strategic partners of the state in the areas of security and development.

Among the guests were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski, members of parliament, representatives of ministries, the President of the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE), and numerous industry organizations. The meeting provided an opportunity to summarize an intensive year for digital Poland, discuss the challenges facing the sector, and outline directions for action in the coming months.

A pleasant highlight of the event were gifts in the form of publications from the KARTA Center Foundation, through which the organizers symbolically supported the activities of this distinguished institution.

The Christmas meeting of the industry chambers once again demonstrated that the strength of the Polish ICT sector lies in cooperation, dialogue, and a dynamic community that is able to look to the future with confidence and expertise.
