National Institute of Telecommunications with authorization from the National Atomic Energy Agency

On 12 November 2025, at the headquarters of the National Atomic Energy Agency, President Andrzej Głowacki ceremonially presented representatives of the Institute with the decision granting the National Institute of Telecommunications' IT Security Evaluation Facility authorization to conduct tests in the field of "Assessment of technical solutions related to cybersecurity applied in the nuclear power plant design.”

Elżbieta Andrukiewicz from the National Institute of Telecommunications receives the document from the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency, Andrzej Głowacki.

Thanks to this authorization, the Institute joins the group of laboratories and expert organizations supporting the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency in the process of licensing and supervision of nuclear power plants.

The National Institute of Telecommunications was represented at the meeting by Prof. Mariusz J. Figurski, PhD, DSc, Deputy Director for Research, and Dr. Elżbieta Andrukiewicz, Head of the IT Security Evaluation Facility.

The authorization is valid until 31 December 2030.
