Poland Security Congress - Total Security under the patronage of NIT

18.11.2025

The National Institute of Telecommunications (NIT) proudly served as the honorary patron of this year's edition of the Poland Security Congress - Total Security. Representatives of the Institute actively participated in two key debates dedicated to strategic challenges for the state and the future of smart cities.

Poland Security Congress - Total Security

On November 18, 2025, during the first day of the Congress, Krzysztof Szubert, Plenipotentiary of the Director of NIT for Commercialization and International Cooperation, acted as moderator of the panel “Connectivity and Digital Infrastructure – Strategic Challenges for the State.” The discussion addressed issues such as the resilience of communication systems, technological security, interoperability, and sovereign satellite communication models.

Anna Streżyńska, Director of the National Institute of Telecommunications – PIB, was a panelist in the debate “The City That Reacts Itself – Smart Urban and Municipal Infrastructures and the New Role of Construction.” The conversation focused on topics related to smart urban infrastructure, the development of 5G communication systems, algorithm autonomy, and city resilience in crisis situations.

As Director Streżyńska emphasized, telecommunications today is the nervous system of the country—connecting devices, institutions, and all centers that truly drive digitalization.
She also pointed out that local governments need new cooperation models, and therefore the Institute promotes an approach based on telecommunication cooperatives, enabling joint infrastructure development and cost reduction.

She further noted that although the process of implementing modern technologies in local governments is only gaining momentum, the number of local leaders proving that digitalization can truly transform city operations is growing.

We thank the organizers for the opportunity to participate and all attendees for inspiring conversations. The National Institute of Telecommunications – PIB is proud to support the development of modern, secure, and intelligent technologies for the state and local governments.
