The future: already here, just not everywhere

05.05.2026

What technologies will shape our future? The National Institute of Telecommunications has published the "Technology Trends Report - March 2026.” It is essential reading for anyone who wants to understand the direction in which the global digital ecosystem is heading and what we should be preparing for.

Technology Trends Report – March 2026

Key findings presented in the publication include:

  • The Era of Agentic AI:

The market is moving away from passive cloud-based models toward fully autonomous AI agents, creating entirely new regulatory and auditing challenges never encountered before.

  • The Quantum Breakthrough:

Quantum technologies are leaving research laboratories and becoming new pillars of critical infrastructure protection.

  • Poland’s Digital Sovereignty:

The issue of national technological independence has been analyzed across six layers — from hardware foundations to end-user applications. The report identifies as many as 32 gaps.

  • Legal Gaps:

The clash between machine learning system architectures and current regulations (such as GDPR) is creating systemic risks in the era of mass AI deployment.

The report clearly demonstrates that technological sovereignty is no longer merely a modernization project, but a crucial element of national interest and security.
