22.01.2026

By decision of the Minister of Digital Affairs, Krzysztof Gawkowski, Wiesław Łodzikowski has been appointed Deputy Director of the National Institute of Telecommunications (NIT). His appointment represents a significant strengthening of the Institute's competences in the areas of market cooperation and the commercial utilisation of the research and implementation potential of NIT.

Wiesław Łodzikowski

In his new role, Wiesław Łodzikowski is responsible for developing relations with key public and private partners, building long-term technological partnerships, and offering the competences of NIT as comprehensive, high-value solutions for large organisations. Modern telecommunications infrastructure, critical communications systems, cybersecurity, and infrastructure resilience — developed, among others, within the InfraShield360 concept — constitute areas of particular focus for the new Deputy Director.

Wiesław Łodzikowski is an expert in telecommunications and information technologies with over 25 years of experience in the implementation of infrastructure projects of critical importance. Throughout his professional career, he has held managerial positions, among others, at the ORLEN Group, ENERGA, NASK, and Polish Television (TVP), where he was responsible for technology strategy, operational security of critical infrastructure, management of large CAPEX and OPEX budgets, as well as the development and sales of technology service portfolios.

His experience includes, among others, the deployment of private 5G networks, the development of critical communications systems (TETRA, LTE, 5G), the implementation of crisis warning systems, cybersecurity of IT infrastructure and data centres, and the integration of cloud and IoT solutions in large organisations.

An important element of Wiesław Łodzikowski’s professional profile is his ability to combine technology, communication, and multimedia. He has participated in key digital transformation processes in Poland and has received multiple distinctions and state decorations from the Presidents of the Republic of Poland and the minister responsible for telecommunications in recognition of his contributions.

At the National Institute of Telecommunications, he focuses on strengthening the Institute’s position as the partner of first choice for organisations seeking secure, scalable, and proven infrastructure solutions — from concept development, through research and testing, to deployment and long-term operation.
