On September 26, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to NATO Tomasz Szatkowski took part in the ceremonies commemorating the Polish soldiers killed in 1944, during the liberation of western Belgium.
Ambassador Szatkowski laid a wreath at the monument commemorating Polish heroes at the war cemetery in Lommel. The ceremony was attended by representatives of local authorities, Polish diplomatic missions in Belgium and a large group of Polish diaspora.
