NAC Trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina

The North Atlantic Council visits NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo

On February 1-2 2024 the North Atlantic Council and NATO Deputy Secretary General, Mircea Geoană paid a visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Poland has been represented by Ambassador Tomasz Szatkowski. The Permanent Representatives engaged with representatives of the Presidency, Government, Parliament, think-tanks and academia. During the presentation of police and med-evac equipment the NAC could discover how NATO Defence Capacity Building Initiative works in practice. The Ambassadors met also with representatives of the EU and OSCE missions. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a Partnership for Peace member since 2006.
