Poland in NATO

On March 26th, in the morning the Secretary General met with Prime Minister Donald Tusk. In the afternoon, he was a guest of President Andrzej Duda and took part in a working lunch hosted by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski. Afterwards, he gave a lecture at the Warsaw School of Economics.

President Andrzej Duda met with the Secretary General Mark Rutte at NATO Headquarters. During the talks, they discussed the current security situation in the Euro-Atlantic area, especially the war in Ukraine.

On February 12-13, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz took part in meetings of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) and NATO defence ministers.

During his visit to Brussels, the Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski met with the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Mark Rutte.

The Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Poland to NATO, in cooperation with the European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats in Helsinki, organized a simulation game on countering disinformation.

At the initiative of the Permanent Representations of Poland and Italy to NATO, the Ambassadors of the Allies and Israel took part in a virtual tour of the Former German Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. The event was organized at the Polish Delegation to NATO premises to mark the International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Camp.

The ministers took part in three sessions: Allies-only, NATO-Ukraine Council format and in a session with the King of Jordan. The new EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas was invited to the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting.

The foreign service interns met with Ambassador Jacek Najder. The future diplomats had a chance to talk to the Diplomatic Academy graduates who currently work at the Permanent Delegation and the NATO International Secretariat.

During his visit to Warsaw on 13 November 2024, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte met with President Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski. This was Mark Rutte’s first visit to our country since taking up his new position on 1 October 2024.
