Poland in the OSCE

OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Foreign Minister of Poland, Zbigniew Rau, and OSCE Secretary General, Helga Maria Schmid, have announced that the OSCE has initiated steps to close the office of the Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine.

The Annual Security Review Conference (ASRC), the OSCE’s main event for enhancing dialogue on regional security challenges, took place on 28 and 29 June 2022.

The OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau, concluded his visit to Montenegro, Albania and North Macedonia today. The trip focused on co-operation with the OSCE and efforts towards stability, security and strengthening democratic institutions in the South-Eastern Europe region.

We, the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Poland, and North Macedonia, as the previous, current and incoming Chairpersons-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), joined with the OSCE Secretary General in this statement on the occasion of the second edition of the Prespа Forum Dialogue (PFD).

The OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zbigniew Rau, will visit Montenegro, Albania and North Macedonia from 13 to 17 June for meetings with high-level officials.

In Warsaw on 8 June, Minister Zbigniew Rau, Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, met with OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Kairat Abdrakhmanov.

The OSCE Chairman-in-Office (CiO) and Poland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Zbigniew Rau, concluded his visit to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia.

On 1 June, International Children’s Day in the Heeresgeschichtliches Museum, Vienna, the official launch of the photo exhibition Children of Ukraine on the run took place.

Between 31 May and 6 June, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau will travel to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia on another official visit in his capacity as OSCE Chairman-in-Office.

OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Foreign Minister of Poland Zbigniew Rau and OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmid today reiterated their condemnation of persistent allegations against the Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) and called for the immediate release of four national Mission members detained in Donetsk and Luhansk.
