In his speech, Ambassador Maciej Pisarski pointed to the importance of the Constitution of 3 May in the European and international tradition of expanding the catalogue of civil rights at the expense of limiting the privileges of the government. Today, Poland, especially in the light of the Presidency of the Council of the EU, also makes a significant contribution to the development of European integration. The ambassador expressed his condolences over the terrorist attack on children on their way to school in Balochistan last Wednesday. He stressed the responsibility to protect civilians in the face of growing global unrest, such as the Russian aggression against Ukraine, the situation in Gaza, and the reluctance of the Russian leadership to de-escalate and achieve a ceasefire in the conflict in Ukraine.

Ambassador Pisarski also emphasized the growing dynamics of Polish-Pakistani contacts, thanks to which the dialogue between the two countries is also gaining intensity.

The highlight of the evening was a recital by the JAH Trio, a group representing the new wave of Polish jazz. This ensemble features talented Polish musicians: Jan Jarecki on piano, Marcin Sojka on drums, and Michał Aftyka on bass. They showcased their unique arrangements, which were well-received by the audience. The concert was part of the "Jazz po polsku" initiative aimed at promoting Polish music internationally.
